I’m Aura aka Arachnid — a DJ, vocalist, and emerging producer weaving together sound, ceremony, and lived experience into something deeply personal. My roots in performance run all the way back to childhood: singing in talent shows, choreographing my kindergarten classmates for my first “concert,” and starring in theatre productions throughout middle and high school. Music has always been home to me.

I fell in love with the EDM scene in 2015, drawn in by the community, the freedom, and the way bass music cracked people open emotionally. Over the years, I’ve grown from a fan on the rail to an artist behind the decks — a journey shaped by incredible mentors who believed in my vision when I was still learning what that vision even was.

My DJ sets pull inspiration from every corner of the bass universe — weaving together the raw grit of dubstep’s many subgenres, the bounce and swing of UK garage, and the high-energy pulse of drum and bass. I produce original music that reflects this using original sounds that I create and sample from my own sound healing instruments. As a multidimensional sound weaver, I produce multiple genres such as mid-tempo bass, drum and bass, dubstep, and low-end bass. My first single, Frostweaver is OUT NOW!

I’ve written lyrics and poetry my entire life — from childhood songs to singing teenage theatre solos to my secret high school hip hop recordings that will never see the light of day. Today, I’m reclaiming my voice through music again and stepping more fully into my identity as a singer and performer.

My experiences with healing, mental health, and community shape the emotional world behind my sets. I’m not here to just play music — I’m here to move people, to help them feel safe in their bodies, to create moments that feel ceremonial, cathartic, and deeply human. My dream is to travel the world as a DJ and vocalist, performing for communities across the globe and creating spaces where people can dance, connect, release, and return to themselves.

Arachnid is the bridge between my art and my healing — a web where bass, voice, emotion, and spirit meet.
